CAREGIVER SUPPORT

About the Initiative:

The Ohio Firefighters Health and Safety Collaborative Caregiver Support Network offers caregiver-based support and services to connect those providing care to service members living with the wounds, illnesses and/or injuries associated with the job.

Mission:

The mission of the Caregiver Support Network is to provide first responder spouses, families and caregivers with support to reduce their isolation and increase their sense of connectedness, engagement, hopefulness, wellness, as well as their knowledge and skills.

Programs:

The Caregiver Support Network provides caregivers with the following peer support programs:Online Support CommunityMentor Support ProgramSupport Groups (Online & Community Based)Services:The Caregiver Support Group helps caregivers at all stages, clinicians and supporters by providing them with caregiver focused services and resources.

Impact:

All programs are regularly evaluated to ensure that they are:

  • Meeting the needs of the spouses and families for connection and engagement.  
  • Delivering highest quality consistent peer support services
  • Facilitating access to the most current and relevant resources nationwide
